Rewilding and Donut Economics Workshop for Kids

Let your child discover the beauty of our planet and learn about the solutions to Climate Change.

In this workshop for 8 to 13 year-olds, responses to the climate crisis will be outlined with interactive and craft activities.

PART I:
First, we will explore ecosystems and the transformative power of the reintroduction of wild plants and animals in areas damaged by human activities.

PART II:
The second part of the workshop will consider the concept of planetary boundaries and human social needs using a visual framework for sustainable development known as donut economics.

This workshops builds on the topics covered in Science Behind Climate Change but it is not a requirement for children to have attended that workshop.

Attendance: 10 participants.

Price: Donation based (recommended donation: £5/kid for materials)


Teacher: Samuel Ivan Roberts (he/him).

Samuel Ivan Roberts is an educator covering a range of science topics with young people and for young people and adults workshops and lectures related to the climate crisis and artistic practice.

Samuel holds an MA in Art and Science (Distinction) from Central Saint Martins and a BSc in Human Sciences from King's College London where he specialised in Abnormal Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry.
