Good Mental Health Sunday

  • Factory Quarter Community Hub Unit 3, Tesla Court, Warple Way London, England, W3 7DQ United Kingdom (map)

On Sunday 9th September, we will have a good discussion about everything mental health.

We all have mental health, and sometimes we are feeling great and thriving, but other times we struggle to even get out of bed. We will talk about the mental health continuum and the everyday healthy habits we can adopt to help us stay as upbeat and resilient as possible. We will talk about the aspects of life that tip us into stress and strain, and explore how we can identify this, accept that this will be the case, and explore what control we have over our own mental health experience.

Speaker: Mandy Rutter (she/her).

Mandy Rutter is a psychologist, counsellor and trainer who specialises in helping people thrive during difficult circumstances. Mandy started her career working with children, families and young people at risk of harm, and moved into working as a school counsellor in a large secondary school. After Mandy had her own children, she went to work with businesses whose employees were traumatised by 9.11, and 7/7 bombing. She specialised in trauma support for the next 15 years, helping people involved in accidents and incidents. As a result of this work, Mandy wrote leaflets and guidelines to help people develop resilience and good mental health. During the pandemic, Mandy prepared and delivered over 300 webinars on a whole range of mental health topics, for employees working in industry, health services and charities.
